Moving to a new city and realizing free weekends feel oddly empty

I moved to a new city for work, and the weekdays are busy enough. Then Saturday arrives with an enormous blank space where familiar friends and routines used to be. It's not exactly loneliness, more the uncomfortable feeling that I should be doing something with every free hour. I'm trying one recurring class and one unstructured weekend walk instead of forcing a social calendar instantly. What helped a new place start feeling like home?
