My employer has a training budget, and I've been offered a short course with a certificate that looks nice on LinkedIn. The syllabus, though, covers tools I already use in a basic way. I'd rather spend that time learning something that opens a different kind of role. When evaluating courses, do you look for job listings that request the skill, alumni outcomes, or evidence that you'll produce a portfolio-worthy project? I'm wary of buying another badge without changing what I can actually do.
