The boring electricity savings are the only ones available in my rental

Simulated community examples only. Not financial, tax, investment, or legal advice.

Renting means I cannot make any exciting efficiency upgrades. My options are boring: less aggressive AC, full laundry loads, switching things off, fixing one removable-window draft.

Probably fine. The savings available to me are small habits, not a clever purchase.

I’ve had the same experience in rentals. You don’t need a grand project if the place is already decent; consistency is enough.

Exactly. I keep wanting a clever fix, but the AC setting and laundry loads are the things I actually control.
