My living room has a north-facing window and no direct sun. The peace lily is surviving, but the succulent I put there is stretching toward the glass. I'd rather choose plants that genuinely tolerate the room than keep buying ‘low-light’ labels that really mean ‘won't die immediately.’ Are there foliage plants that still put out healthy new growth in bright-ish indirect northern light, or should I accept that a grow light is part of the setup?
