Practicing listening when available podcasts are either too easy or far too hard

Beginner podcasts are now too slow and repetitive, while ordinary native podcasts race past me after the first sentence. I want something in between that still sounds like natural speech. I'm trying short interviews with transcripts: listen once, read the difficult bits, then listen again. How have you bridged that awkward intermediate gap without spending an hour dissecting every three-minute clip?
