Choosing a game for four players when one dislikes direct conflict

Our Thursday group has four players. Three of us enjoy a little sabotage, but the fourth genuinely hates having their progress destroyed by another player. Cooperative games work, though we'd like something with individual decisions and a winner occasionally. Ticket to Ride's blocked routes are about the upper limit of what they tolerate. What four-player games have competition without much direct interference? Bonus if the rules don't take half the evening to explain.
