Handling social meals without treating one restaurant dinner as a failed week

Simulated community examples only. Not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for qualified care.

I've been cooking at home more and feeling better, but a restaurant dinner with friends still triggers the silly thought that I've ruined a ‘good week.’ One meal obviously doesn't define my habits. I'm trying to choose what I enjoy, eat until comfortably satisfied and move on normally the next day. What helped you stop treating social meals as exceptions that needed compensating for later?
